After installing pl sql, if the database in the figure below is empty. You need to install a 32-bit client,Note pl sql does not support 64-bit client connections. Here through this article, I will introduce the configuration issues of windows 64-bit oracle 11g, plsql developer,Solution shown as blank at database,
After installing pl sql, if the database in the figure below is empty. You need to install a 32-bit client,Note pl sql does not support 64-bit client connections.
1. Download the 32-bit oracle client and install
2.Set up plsql developer
Open pl sql In "Tools"-"Preferences"-"Connections", set the oci library (that is, oracle 32 bit installation location)
d:\ app \ administrator \ product \ 11.2.0 \ client_1 \ oci.dll
As shown below:
3.Add environment variables
Add the following variables to the system variables:
The first one points to the directory where the tns file is located,This directory is the directory where you installed the 64-bit version of the oracle tns file.A tns file is a file that holds connection information.
tns_admin:d:\ app \ administrator \ product \ 11.2.0 \ dbhome_1 \ network \ admin
The second is to specify the encoding used by the database,To avoid garbled characters.
The third is path. The first value is more important.Cannot be mistaken,It is the client location,It affects the use of pl sql, which is generally normal by default.
path:d:\ app \ administrator \ product \ 11.2.0 \ client_1;d:\ app \ administrator \ product \ 11.2.0 \ dbhome_1 \ bin;...
The fourth is oracle_sid (orcl instance name,(I.e. the name of the database during installation)
The fifth is oracle_home
oracle_home:can not be set,If set, it must be correct,Otherwise it cannot be used.
If you forget the instance name during oracle installation,You can open the registration view,As shown below:
After the above settings,pl sql can be used normally.
Note:After setting the environment variables,May take off or restart the computer to take effect!
